The IOSH Managing Safely® course is an intermediate course for supervisors and managers to provide them with a more in-depth understanding of health and safety issues that they are likely to be responsible for; it includes causes of accidents and accident prevention, hazards and risk assessments, management systems and environmental issues.
The course lasts four days with a multi choice question paper at the end together with a risk assessment exercise. It is designed to give managers all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their teams.
There is flexibility in delivery of the course - four consecutive days or one day per week over a four week period.

The delegates are assessed at the end of the course by a multiple choice written assessment and a project completed at their workplace.
No previous health and safety knowledge is required.
