Our half day Asbestos Awareness course covers a range of issues including hazards and risks from exposure to asbestos, what it is, where it can be found, basic requirements for managing asbestos and emergency procedures; the course covers the topics specified in the Approved Code of Practice for Asbestos.
It is suitable for anyone who may encounter asbestos but is not expected to work with it.
To build awareness of the types, properties and the associated health risks of asbestos
To educate about the hazards and risks posed by asbestos containing materials
To identify where asbestos can be found and to know what to do in the event of an asbestos exposure
