When Santa got stuck up the Chimney

When Santa got stuck up the chimney

When santa got stuck up the chimney, he once again risked his life to deliver millions of presents to homes across the world.

As we are about to enter the heart of the Christmas period we spare a thought for Father Christmas and how he risks life and limb each year to deliver millions of presents to homes across the world.

Our dear Santa is exposed to a huge range of hazards over one single night, here are just a few:

  • Work at Height - operating from his sleigh at height with a huge potential fall.
  • Slips, trips and falls - walking across pitched roofs in icy conditions.
  • Alcohol - being left a whisky, beer or even mulled wine at every house will make steering the sleigh a challenge.
  • Weather - battling the elements during his trip from the icy North Pole to the blistering heat of the Sahara Desert.
  • Confined spaces - entering chimneys with potential for inhaling smoke from the Christmas fire.

Santa certainly wouldn't look as jolly wearing a harness and full breathing apparatus -fortunately, Father Christmas has the best control measure to eliminate risk - magic!

However, the rest of us are not so lucky.

Take care over the festive period and have a very merry Christmas!
