NEBOSH Diploma Module B

Course Overview

The NEBOSH National Diploma provides the core health and safety knowledge transferable across industry, commerce and the public sector.

Module B covers all the subjects associated with Hazardous Agents in the Workplace.

Duration and Structure

10 days including 2 days of revision.

The course is run on a day release basis (i.e. 1 day per week) over an 18-month period, and covers the following subjects:-

• General aspects of occupational health and hygiene;
• Principals of toxicology and epidemiology;
• Chemical agents - evaluating risk;
• Hazardous substances - preventive and protective measures.

Examinations are in January and July.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements; however, the syllabus assumes a broad basic knowledge of health and safety.

Achievement of the NEBOSH General Certificate or direct equivalent prior to undertaking the Diploma course is highly recommended.
