IOSH Working Safely

Course Overview

The IOSH Working Safely Course has been developed by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health to address the general aspects of health and safety at work for a wide range of personnel. It is a course for staff from any sector with no supervisory or managerial responsibility.

Course Duration and Structure

This is a 1-day course.

IOSH Working Safely provides a grounding in the essentials of health and safety. Everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must "work safely" and this course delivers this information. It is divided into five modules:-

  • Introducing Working;
  • Defining Hazard and Risk;
  • Identifying Common Hazards;
  • Improving Safety Performances;
  • Protecting our Environment.

The delegates are assessed at the end of the course by a multiple choice written assessment and a project completed at their workplace.

Entry Requirements

No previous health and safety knowledge is required.
