Training Centre Founded over 10 years ago, Safetyboss is located in a purpose-built office and training facility in Woodbridge.

We're the South East's leading Health and Safety provider, covering training, risk assessment, risk management, safety inspections and audits.

We specialise in providing the National General Certificate and Diploma courses in Occupational Safety and Health, and are the only provider of both examinations in Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.

We also offer a range of IOSH courses, including Working Safely, Managing Safely and Directing Safely.

Safetyboss is an ISO 9001 accredited company.

Tim Randell BSc (Hons) CFIOSH MIRM CMCIPD

Tim started his career in Health and Safety as an inspector for the HSE (Health & Safety Executive).

He moved from the HSE to become the Health & Safety Manager for one of the region's largest financial institutions.

In addition to his responsibilities as a Director of Safetyboss, Tim is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, a Member of the Institute of Risk Management and a NEBOSH Examiner.

Tim is a lecturer in Law and Human Factors on the NEBOSH National Diploma course.

Marian Randell BA (Hons) CMIOSH CMICM PGCE

Marian is the founder and Managing Director of Safetyboss.

Marian is a Member of the Chartered Institution of Occupational Safety and Health with 20 years health and safety experience in railways, shipping and local government.

Marian is a professional lecturer having obtained a Post Graduate Certificate of Education. She has considerable experience in running the NEBOSH certificate course and has taken many students successfully through professional exams. She is a NEBOSH Examiner and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Marian is a lecturer in Communications and Human Factors on the NEBOSH National Diploma course

Paul Randell BSc (Hons) CMIOSH MIIRSM

Paul is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), and a member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management.

He is also a NEBOSH examiner and a qualified portable appliance tester.

Paul has a degree in Safety, Health & Environmental Management.

Angela Allington BSc (Hons) PGCE

Angela is a Science Graduate and has had considerable experience in the business world having run her own company.

Angela provides bespoke solutions for the educational and leisure sectors. She has obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and the NEBOSH Certificate.

Michael Illfe

Michael specialises in the Educational sector following a long career in education, both as a Head Teacher and Ofsted Inspector.

Michael holds the NEBOSH Certificate.

Roz Wiernicki

Roz's primary role is dealing with Health and Safety within the Education sector, however, she also brings extensive business management and Health Service experience, allowing her to address Health and Safety issues in a wider context.

Roz holds the NEBOSH Certificate.

Pauline Haggar, Administration

Pauline is the company's Administrator, bringing extensive experience in a wide variety of Customer Service environments, and excellent organisational and communication skills.

Pauline ensures the Safetyboss Team runs efficiently, and that all enquiries are dealt with promptly and professionally. She is your first, friendly point of contact by phone or email.

Nigel French, Employment Law Assistant

Safetyboss are delighted to introduce Nigel French who will be able in future to provide our clients with legal advice, representation and training on all employment law matters.

Nigel is an experienced legal practitioner in the employment law field, being routinely consulted by a broad range of private and public sector employers. He also is a lawyer and in addition holds a masters degree in employment law and labour relations and has lectured extensively on many Degree and Masters programmes.

He has over 15 years experience in assisting clients with a range of legal problems, including disciplinary, grievance and termination issues, contract disputes, business transfers and redundancy, and all areas of discrimination law. This extends to employment tribunal representation.
